Valley Mills is about to experience a once-in-a-lifetime event: A TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE!
It will take place on April 8, 2024 and Valley Mills is in the center of totality!

Because the total solar eclipse is such a unique event, we can expect a greater number of visitors to Valley Mills, not only to watch the once-in-a-lifetime event in our city, but also as people travel through our area to get to other eclipse destinations, this site is designed to give visitors everything they need to know regarding the eclipse event.

VALLEY MILLS IS THE CENTER OF TOTALITY!


The total solar eclipse begins Monday, April 8, 2024 at 12:20 pm in Valley Mills, as what is called a partial eclipse. 
Valley Mills will be in TOTALITY starting at 1:37 pm for 4 minutes and 25 seconds, reaching maximum at 1:39 pm, before going into partial eclipse mode again starting at 1:42 pm. 
Then, the eclipse totally ends at 3:00 pm.
Planning to stay in Valley Mills?
The City of Valley Mills has very limited RV and Tent spaces open for eclipse visitors at the Boy Scout Park and on the City Land. Both areas are great viewing areas and are a very short distance to our downtown Valley Mills viewing area, where we will have shopping and food vendors available.
