Total Solar Eclipse Reservations





COME EARLY STAY LATE!

The City of Valley Mills expects visitors to start arriving as early as the week before the Total Solar Eclipse Event on Monday, April 8, 2024, so we would like to encourage visitors to join us "early" before the large crowds arrive and "stay late", after the crowds leave. 


  • RV Space with Hook-ups at Boy Scout Park
Five spaces are available at Boy Scout Park. These include water and electric. SEWER IS NOT AVAILABLE. These are available at $200/night with a 4-night minimum between 4/5/24-4/9/24. ($800 total)

  • Primitive RV Space
We are offering a limited number of spaces on an open field in Valley Mills. There are NO hook-ups (No electrical, water or sewage), so campers will need to be prepared and self contained. These spaces are open 4/5/24-4/9/24 and rent for $75/night with a 4 night minimum. ($300 total)

  • Tent Sites at Boy Scout Park
We have a limited number of primitive tent sites available for 4/5/24-4/9/24, in the grassy, shaded area of the park. A water source and portable toilets will be available in the park. Tent campers will be able to park in their designated campsite only. Parking will be very limited so there will only be allowed to be one car per campsite. Limit 1 tent/6 people per campsite. These sites rent for $50/night with a 4 night minimum. ($200 total)

  • Bus Parking
This is VERY limited and will be located within walking distance to all of the festivities. Reservations are only for the day of the event and rent for $100. 



ALL RESERVATION REQUESTS MUST BE MADE OVER EMAIL.  
Email completed request form to cityhall@vmtx.us. Payments can be made online at vmtx.us (then select payments, then rental fees) or by calling City Hall. We will call and confirm reservation once email is received. 
Reservation is not confirmed until you receive a receipt of payment. Please keep a copy of this form and the Eclipse Site Rules and Regulations for your records. Camping spaces are assigned by the City of Valley Mills staff in the order of full paperwork and payment received.
