ORDINANCE NO.  418

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF VALLEY MILLS, TEXAS, PROHIBITING THE ESTABLISHMENT OR OPERATION OF TATTOO OR BODY PIERCING STUDIOS WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF VALLEY MILLS 

Be it Ordained by the City Council of Valley Mills, Texas: 

          SECTION 1 - The definitions set forth in Texas Health and Safety Code, Title 2, Subtitle G, Ch. 142, Sec. 142.001, as the same exist on the effective date of this Ordinance are incorporated herein and adopted for the purposes of this ordinance. 

          SECTION 2 - No person may conduct, operate or maintain a studio or other facility for tattooing or body piercing within the jurisdictional limits of the City of Valley Mills, Texas. 

          SECTION 3 – This Ordinance is an emergency measure for the protection of the public health and safety and shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
