The City of Valley Mills
The City of Valley Mills is The Gateway to Beautiful Bosque County located along State Highway 6. Approximately 20 miles northwest of Waco. The form of government is a Type A, General Law City. Consisting of a Mayor and five aldermen. The city was first organized in the area now known as FM 1637 on the northern banks of the Bosque River. After a tornado blew the entire town away, it was moved to its present day location, south of the river. State Highway 6, FM 317 and FM 56 are the major thoroughfares thru the City. The City of Valley Mills was incorporated on March 20, 1896.
